Our Church
Originally established in the Oildale community within Bakersfield in 1919 and incorporated in 1938, OBCC has a long history as a family friendly non-denominational church. Woven into the fabric of our history is the conviction to never turn away an opportunity to respond to the needs of others. Today, that same conviction is reflected in our mission statement, "to be a church that shares the fullness of life in Jesus Christ with weary people from all walks of life."
At OBCC, our Sunday worship and weekly activities are designed to create opportunities for every person to know Christ, grow in a Christian community, and go out in Christian service.
Located in the northwest Bakersfield community of Rosedale, our goal is to be a family friendly church that shares Christ’s message of hope through worship, discipleship, and svice.er

Our Pastor
Thanks for checking us out! I have been privileged to be the pastor of OBCC since June 2017. I have served in ministry in various locations including Michigan, Oklahoma, Kansas and Washington state pror to moving to Californis. I was born and raised in Whiteholl, Michigan, then served in the U.S. Marine Corps. While stationed in Soutern CA I was introduced to Jesus Christ. On that day at church I also met Sandy Asbury, who one year later I was blessed to marry. We have three children scattered across the country. I love people, I love being a pastor, and I love Olive Branch Community Church. I hope you will visit us and when you do, make sure to introduce yourself to me.

Belief Statement
IN ONE GOD,
Eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
IN THE FATHER,
Who is the source and definition of love. He is the perfect balance of grace and truth.
IN ONE LORD,
Jesus Christ, the only Son of God; in His deity and His virgin birth, His sinless life, atoning death, burial and bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father and His future personal return in glory and power.
IN THE HOLY SPIRIT,
The Lord, the giver of life, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a life of love and godliness.
THAT MAN IS...
Sinful and in need of a savior, and that salvation comes only by grace through faith in the completed work of Christ.
IN THE RESURRECTION...
Of the dead: the believer to life everlasting, and the unbeliever to judgment.
THE CHURCH IS...
The Body of Christ and is comprised of all who have accepted His redemption.
THAT THE BIBLE IS...
The inspired and inerrant Word of God and is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
